Games in Fun English room

The Fun English room is here to provide our students with a lively and creative environment to practice their English language skills. Students are encouraged to speak English informally with the NET team and their peers whilst taking part in a number of games that they are free to choose themselves. They are encouraged to spend their time in the room talking about the subjects and things that they are passionate about. Students can talk about whatever they are interested in and the NETs will help guide the discussion and facilitate a deeper level of thinking.

 

We have many board games and card games designed specifically for the development of language skills as well as STEAM games that must be solved and completed in English. Games such as ‘Guess Who’ and ‘What am I?’ require students to use their natural curiosity and critical thinking skills while they practice key grammatical structures in English.  As well as games, we also have a weekly reading day where students can choose books from our collection to read independently or to read along with NETs. Students are also able to bring their own books from home to share with the NET team and their fellow students.

 

The Fun English Room’s door is always open to all the students of S.K.H. Ma On Shan Holy Spirit Primary School.
