Wonderful Wednesday: Where English comes alive through games and play

 

Every Wednesday at recess, the school transforms into a vibrant hub of English language learning and fun. This is “Wonderful Wednesday” – a special activity where the school’s English Smarties and Native English Teachers set up engaging booths and games for students to enjoy.

 

As the bell rings, the corridors come alive with eager students rushing to the multi-purpose area on the first floor. From word puzzles to challenge questions, the students are engaged into the games and they try their best to gain as many stamps as they can.

 

The English Smarties and NET teachers bring energy and enthusiasm, beckoning students to their booths. Students happily line up to participate, eager to showcase their English skills while playing interactive games.

 

For the students, “Wonderful Wednesday” is the highlight of their week. It’s a chance to step away from regular classes and immerse themselves in English in a fun, pressure-free environment. The games reinforce vocabulary, grammar and communication in creative ways that students find enjoyable. By the end of the recess, faces are lit up with big smiles – a testament to the success of this wonderful weekly activity.
